So.... A Lot Has Happened

Corey and I had a pretty amazing Wondercon. I took a lot of pictures and grabbed a lot of business cards and so on and then I got sick. I mean really sick. And I was going through ten weeks of involuntary web classes. I say involuntary because as much as I wanted to know HTML, CSS and the basics of such fundamental web building languages as Javascript, JQuery and PHP I don't really want to learn them. If only there was a pill I could take or something that would give me the knowledge without going through all that... work. So I was sick as a dog and struggling through the only two courses that have challenged me tremendously and now it's almost two months later and here we are.
A lot has happened. Too much to really write to be honest. There was a rather large kerfuffle at Wondercon involving our hotel and I want to cover that at length but for the most part we had a good time and right now is not the perfect moment to be discussing... that... little hornets nest.
You'll hear about it soon.
In other news Corey has been a pretty busy guy. His significant other talked him into drawing a very cool comic for a Squishables contest. I hope they win so everyone can see it. It's pretty great.
And speaking of Corey, he will be doing the Midwest Comic Book Association Spring Con next week. So if you are anywhere near the Minnesota State Fair Grounds next weekend do stop by and see him. I'm sure he'd be happy to draw something for you. That's what he does. He's very good at it.
During the con Corey will donate the original artwork for this beauty:
To be auctioned off for charity. It's topical. It's op culture. It's awesome.
I hope all you parents of the female persuasion had a great Mother's Day yesterday. I made a video for my mom that showed how I'm living out here in San Diego. Naturally she will not watch it for weeks if ever and tell me that she loved it no matter how she feels about it. Mom's are great.
I know Corey has a big announcement coming up in a couple weeks about a big project he's been working on for awhile and I've got class (I'm learning to do 3D in Maya now) early in the morning so that's all for now.
